All the negative stuff is going on in Quebec with Tag. We don't hear it.
I get the impression that RA is forgotten and there's a new found respect for JV.
If JV were to get a ride, he's already developed a reputation as a tough cookie which is good.
Hope the V8 guys were watching the race.

Here's an article about part time drivers in the Nationwide Series. There are a lot of stereotypical american user-comments about JV, but also some very positive ones.

Interesting. Thanks SamYang. I read some of the comments. there are too many to read all of them. Some are very positive.
I notice from reading etc that the name Villeneuve has become a verb. For example, person A was Villeneuved by person B.
JV becoming an "evil genius" may be the best thing that ever happened to him.
One guy said, he had a nightmare that he was going down the centre of a track and Villeneuve was to his right and Montoya was on his left.

A good comment from this article

After watching Jacques Villeneuve race in Montreal it is obvious why he does not have a full time ride in Nascar. Simply put the guy is 2.5 seconds a lap faster than the next closest competitor in the field and if he had a ride he would win easily. My guess is that the rest of the competition is fearful of letting some real talent on the grid.
This does not only go for his road course skills. Each year he steps into a car that he has not been familiar with and is either on the pole or in the top 5. Then with a detuned engine he outraces, outbrakes and outclasses the entire field. Even when other idiots are driving off the course or playing bumper cars with each other with only 2 laps to go he manages to stretch his fuel for 7 extra laps with fuel remaining. When he is hit with an untimely yellow and he is forced to pit going from 1st to 11th, he gets right back into the lead within only a few laps when all the experts say it is difficult to pass on the circuit. Consistently lapping 2.5 seconds faster than everyone, the only thing keeping this race close were the massive amounts of yellow flags due to "apparently" professional drivers whom can't seem to even keep their car on the track.
When Tagliani nails him from behind he simply returns the favor. In JV's defense, Tag mad a stupid move to try pass...JV made it right. People claim JV ruins cars...I say, his was the only car that left the track in pretty much the same shape it started.

I like how this week's Trackside Alex Tagliani was talking smack about Villeneuve being overly aggressive and then he divebombs T6. #indycar

RHR calls Tagliani an idiot post race radio interview. Said he will get fined by the FCC if he repeats the conversation with Tagliani

Ryan Hunter-Reay. Tags spun him with 10 laps to go at Sonoma

Yes, and after what happened in Montreal between Tag and JV, it is fun to read the comments of Hunter-Reay...
I like Tag, but sometimes, as JV, he should have closed his mouth in Montreal...

Re: NAPA 200 - Montreal
Watching the video I see that Ryan Hunter-Reay is wearing a hat with Circle K on it. So I find this link that describes how Circle K has become a sponsor for Andretti Motorsports in IndyCar.
http://andrettiautosport.com/news/?p=379
As the article indicates, Circle K is owned by Couche-Tard, a large Quebec company.
Unbelievable. They sponsor an American in IndyCar instead of JV in Nascar.
I'm going to send them an email and complain.

ZingBot: your discovery is almost incredible...
But for Circle K located in USA, I guess that Hunter-Reay may be a better seller for them than JV...

Why that? I would see well JayVee, now over his 40's, coming out of a Circle K store wharfing down a couple of hot dogs so he starts growing a belly and actually ressemble a NASCAR driver. "Circle K gets you there!"
