I've just joined the site after following this website for a few years now. Just wondered if anyone had thoughts about JV possibly racing in the Nationwide series on the weekends that he is not working for CANAL+. I see the there are race's on the road courses in the Nationwide that don't clash with F1 weekends,or do you think it's over for NASCAR.

Interesting question indeed! Personnaly I believe he can come back anytime. But it seems that I may be the only one here who still believe...

That makes two off us!
I still believe that there is a future ahead. Who knows that the comments during programs encouraging people to return to believing in our rider and this opens new bridges to a future as a pilot. I see more in the interests of his children as a rider in a near by future .

I only brought the point up because for the last few years JV announces out of the blue to race at certain Nationwide events without any clue before hand. I think he likes to play his cards close to his chest. Anyway I'll keep my fingers crossed that he may do some more racing this year.

I already ask that question to Louis Butcher from Le Journal de Montréal. He responds me that of course it will be possible in terms of calendar, but he also told me that Jacques have no longer the support of Dodge and it will be very hard for him to be back in Nascar now.

Sad but true.

I guess I was thinking out loud. JV said a while back that he had some interest from one of the teams in Nationwide,I wondered if it could have been one off drives at road course's.
I mean people like Papis manage to get these seat's. Any team owner with half a brain can see the advantage of having JV behind the wheel is a win win situation,your team and sponsors get major coverage with an Ex world champion driving and the most exciting driver what ever the outcome. As they say 'it's a no brainer' you can't lose.
